Getting Around Pamplona
Getting around Pamplona by bus, taxi or on foot is easy. There is a good network of city buses. Taxis are not cheap, but the distances are short so they can be a convenient option. You’ll find yourself mostly getting around on foot, and walking tends to be the best way to enjoy the rowdy ambience of San Fermin.
The city bus is frequent and cheap, and it will definitely provide some entertainment. However, be aware that it can get very crowded. If you like the “sardines in a can” feeling, take advantage of this cheap transportation - getting to/from the train station or to the outskirts of town. Pamplona´s bus line is affectionately called the “villavessa” and knowing about 3 lines will get you anywhere you would want to go. The bus costs 1.10€ per ride.
The taxis are always busy during San Fermin, so getting an available one can be tricky. The only taxi service in the city is managed by the municipal government called “Servicio de Taxi de Comarca de Pamplona.”
