The Running of The Bulls
The bulls completed this year's last run in just 2 minutes and 21 seconds. One bull took an early lead at Santo Domingo and ran the whole course ahead of the others, taking out a few runners along the way. The first bull reached the Plaza de Toros in one minute and fifty seconds.
Six bulls from the ranch "Núñez Cádiz Cuvillo" were featured in today's eighth and final running of the bulls of San Fermin 2009. The run was exceptionally fast and there were no horn injuries. The leading bull thundered through each section and reached the bullring in a minute and 49 seconds.
The most serious reported injury was a head trauma suffered in the stretch called Mercaderes.
Unlike the weekend, today's Tuesday run was relatively uncrowded, giving the runners ample room to run near the bulls and then get out of the way safely.
